The indie alternative 3-piece from Los Angeles, Wallows, come to Birmingham to perform their bops to hardcore fans.

Dylan Minnette, Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston came to Birmingham with energy, enthusiasm and noise. The band who are most well known for songs like 'Are You Bored Yet?' and 'Treacherous Doctor' provided an outstandingly impressive gig and a perfect setlist. I began listening to Wallows more intently during the lockdown in 2020, and to hear those songs I rinsed during that isolated time live in a sold-out and busy venue was quite ironic. The lights, the vivacity and the atmosphere in the room were really special. You could tell that the fans in that venue had so much love for Wallows and you could tell that they appreciated that.
Wallows opened their gig with 'I Don't Want To Talk' which was the perfect opener and foreshadowed the punchiness of what was to come in the concert. The highlight of the gig for me was hearing 'Scrawny' which is my favourite record of theirs from their debut album Nothing Happens. The repetitive lyrics followed by the iconic guitar and the vigorous drum intro sounded absolutely insane live!

The whole of Wallows' Tell Me That It's Over UK tour has completely sold out and for very good reason. Wallows produce their music perfectly and the sound quality on every track of theirs is impeccable, but hearing their jazzy indie tunes live gives these almost flawless tracks another dimension. You can really feel the vivacious guitar riffs and the vibrations from the bouncy drum beats.
Everyone who was lucky enough to see Wallows on their first UK tour in 3 years will hold a memory of that gig in a very special place for years to come, as every aspect of their show was mind-blowing and you could tell you were witnessing a core memory being made for so many people there. What a way to kick off a new year full of exciting gigs!
