A Complete Album Guide for Cuts and Bruises by Inhaler（インヘイラー『Cuts and Bruises』コンプリート・アルバムガイド）

The Dublin band Inhaler has announced the release of their second album Cuts and Bruises with a single from the record, 'Love Will Get You There' on Oct. 13th. Their new album will be released on February 17th, 2023.

10月13日、ダブリン出身のバンド・インヘイラーは新シングル 'Love Will Get You There' のリリースと同時に、セカンドアルバム Cuts and Bruises のリリースを発表。新アルバムは2023年2月17日にリリースされる予定です。

On BBC Radio 1's Hottest Records of the Week, Elijah and Robert have talked about Cuts and Bruises being a tender record about relationships with people and with each other. Although it is often said that the second albums are a curse (and Josh never wants to do a second album ever again), the band felt a bit more confident making this album after the success of their debut album It Won't Always Be Like This.

Elijah told BBC Radio 1 that the name of the record came from how they all got some cuts and bruises getting over that period of time where they were all locked up without any social interactions at all during the pandemic - it has affected people's mental health and even the band's relationships. While Cuts and Bruises is not completely a dark record, it is an honest one about the journey of that "survival" and it is definitely different compared to their optimistic debut piece where they were purely excited to be in a band.

Inhaler is scheduled to be touring around the UK early next year, the US after that and Europe around the time when they support Arctic Monkey's Europe Tour in Spring next year.

BBC Radio 1の番組 Hottest Records of the Weekにて、イライジャとロバートはセカンドアルバム Cuts and Bruises は周りの人々やお互いとのつながりがテーマとなった、デリケートな内容のアルバムだと話しました。セカンドアルバムはバンドやアーティストにとって呪いのようなもので上手くいかないことが多いとよく言われる中、インヘイラーはデビューアルバム It Won't Always Be Like This の成功があったからこそ、セカンドアルバムにはより自信をもって取り組めたと話しています（ジョシュはもう二度とセカンドアルバムなんて作りたくないと言っていたそうですが）。アルバムのタイトル Cuts and Bruises 切り傷とあざ は、パンデミックによって誰もがそれぞれ外の世界から切り離されてしまったあの時期を、いくつかの切り傷とあざを作りながらも乗り越えたというストーリーに由来するとイライジャはラジオにて説明。パンデミックは、多くの人々のメンタルヘルスだけでなく、バンド内の関係性にさえも大きな影響を与えたのは確かだから、と話していました。セカンドアルバムは完全に「ダーク」なアルバムではないものの、バンドで音楽をやることに純粋に興奮していた、前向きなレコードだったデビューアルバムとは異なった（パンデミックなどを通じた）サバイバルの道のりについての正直なレコードとなるそうです。
